WEEK 3 DAY 4 THE POWER OF PRAYER
One of the most powerful things you must grasp in your Christian faith is how to pray. James 5:16 says “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective..” We do not just close our eyes and ramble meaningless words. We speak into the heavens and everything in heaven and earth hears us when we pray. God hears us and He responds to us; He answers our prayers and opens our ears to the realities of His spirit. When we pray, the earth and its vastness hears us, demons hear us, constellations hear us and even non-living objects hear us. Prayer could never be idle chatter, it is proclamations of life.
Prayer is the bridge between our world and the spirit world, it’s words cut through what we understand into realms we could never understand. Prayer creates new realities, and it fuels faith into action. Prayer makes the unimaginable things possible and it brings ideas and thoughts into life. Prayer silences the power of the enemy and it causes real victory in your life by breaking shackles. It is life changing, destiny altering, and earth shaking. Every major move of God on the earth was released through a praying person. For Jesus to come, Simeon and Anna were in the temple on their knees birthing the coming king in prayer. If we allow God to work in us through prayer we can change the world, we can make a difference, and we can see God move in a new way.
Make a commitment to develop a true and deep prayer life, set aside time in your day to pray and seek God today.
- No confessions are given today. Commit to spending your day speaking to God and listening to God. If you can speak in tongues then spend time in the Spirit just speaking in tongues.
