The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit

The fulfilment of your Christianity will begin with a deeper understanding of the character and person of the Holy Spirit. He is a key part of the Godhead (trinity) and he is a God at work within us. The Holy Spirit is the most misunderstood person within the trinity of God and as such, many Christians do not know about His power and His ministry. Some people consider him a ghost, a force, a wind or an unreal entity, and many people refer to Him as “it.” Some people often confuse manifestations as the work of the Holy Spirit or even the Holy Spirit himself. This is also incorrect.

The Holy Spirit is a person, and He is at work in the life of the believer. In order for us to walk in the power of God, we have to develop a deeper relationship with Him. The Holy spirit is the express power of God, He has manifested His power throughout creation since the beginning. I Genesis 1, He was already at work, executing the will of God. Scripture tells us He raised Christ from the dead, and has been given to us to dwell within us. The full, expressive power of God is already within you and me once we have received Christ. He is our friend, our comforter, advocate and our confidant, but it is important to remember that He is a person. Below are a few scriptures that we speak about the person of the Holy Spirit.
