The battlefield of transformation

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2

The most important part of your Christian battles will always be the one part that the enemy wants. Everything in the world wants a part of your attention, your moment, your thoughts and your mind. The greatest tool that the enemy will use to destroy your life and your relationship with God will be your mind. We can never change our behaviour if we don’t have control over our thoughts. We can never become transformed if the enemy still has control over our thoughts. We can never sincerely become followers of Christ if our minds are under demonic influence and control. The devil knows this; he has an agenda to control your mind through bad relationships, television, books, social media, corrupt communication and a lot of things.
Sanctification is impossible if mind renewal is not a conscious part of your daily journey. A Christian who is not dedicated to mind renewal is a Christian who will not be able to win key battles in their life. Your salvation, victories, breakthrough, and strength is tied to your mental fortitude. This is why God has given us a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) The tools of the enemy are designed to wear out your mind process and weaken your resolve to live for God. This is why we try so desperately to fit in, we want to be liked by our peers, we want to connect to our generation and current trends. God is calling us to be separate from the world because he never desired for us to be in conformity with the world.
2 Corinthians 6:16-18. What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” “Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty

Steps to take

1. Clean out your closet, if there is anything that takes up too much space in your mind to remove you from God you need to remove it.
2. Begin to spend more time on things that improve your relationship with God.. Read the word, pray, meditate on the word of God, spend time with Godly people.
3. Recognise what God is doing in you and become aware of his finished work by faith.
