3 Realities about fear

3 Realities about fear

  1. The threats against you are real… False Evidence Appearing Real is a false message that gives us a false sense of comfort?

I am always aware that the enemy we face in our Christian walk is real, his agenda is real and the consequences are also real. David calls his own journey the valley of the shadow of death. It is sometimes a dark place with little or no real escape. Jesus says the thief comes with an agenda to steal, kill and destroy. The devil is not in the business of catch and release. He is in the business of destroying lives. However Jesus gives us a guarantee of life and salvation. Faith isn’t being blind about the realities of my situation, faith is being more aware and assured of the ability and willingness of God to stand in for us.

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:4-6

  1. Fear makes you think that God doesn’t hear you and that he has forgotten you.

God has nothing better to do than to attend to you. A lot of us allow fear to isolate us from God, we think that God has some major cosmic program that is so valuable and we forget that we are his most prized possession. God wants you to live, to grow, to be at peace, he wants you to be wealthy and to be blessed. His desire for us remains even when we go through tougher seasons. In spite of everything else. He is listening and he hasn’t forgotten you yet. He promised never to leave you, and he will not start now!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Palms 23:4

Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen Thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

  1. Fear usually starts in the place of uncomfortable transitions, or uncertainty

In the week I shared in cell with others about the necessity of being comfortable with your uncertainties. Whenever you start something new or different there will always be questions. Will it work? Where can I find this? Am I making the right decision? All these are questions that come up but fear always finds a stronghold and it can destroy your life because you did not know how to manage an uncomfortable transition. This is why during major shifts in most people’s lives,God would first say “fear not,” transitions are quite scary at times.

The FEAR OF MAN brings a snare; but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.(NKJV)

Prayers

I am blessed, every fear of tomorrow is bound in the name of Jesus.

Every disease, oppression and depression that came into my life as a result of fear, disappear now, in the name of Jesus.

You spirit of fear, loose your hold upon my life and my family, in the name of Jesus.

Every bondage that I am subjecting myself to by the spirit of fear, I break you, in the name of Jesus.

I destroy all efforts of the enemy to frustrate my work or business, in the name of Jesus.

Every enchantment and invocation of fear being made against me, I neutralize you and I command you to fail, in the name of Jesus.
